Good leaders—quality people with proven leadership skills—serve on the Maranatha Village Board of Directors. The Board meets on a regular basis with the Maranatha Village CEO to listen, give guidance, and participate in decisions regarding the ministry of Maranatha Village.
Prayer characterizes the Board’s discussions, and decisions related to the care of over 400 residents on the Maranatha Village campus. Residents moving toward an eternal transition are grateful for good leadership.
A new fence across the front of Maranatha Village Retirement Community, Springfield, Missouri, enhances the appearance of the 100-acre campus. It is just one of many improvements that adds beauty to the home of over 400 residents. Maranatha Village is a pleasant place to live!
Maranatha Village retirement community, Springfield, Missouri, residents stepped into the Fall season with joyful festivity. Apple cider, treats, games, and a hay ride brought cheer and a good occasion for fellowship. Thank you, Maranatha Village leadership team, for hosting this annual event!
Jacob’s Hope—the Messianic Jewish ministry of the Assemblies of God World Missions—joined the Independent Living residents and staff of Maranatha Village on September 28 to celebrate the Sukkot holiday. The Bible presents Sukkot as the Feast of Booths or the Feast of Tabernacles.
Jacob’s Hope ministry, directed by Brent and Bonnie Johnson, led the group in a time of teaching, prayer, rejoicing, food, and fellowship. Prior to the event, staff and volunteers—with the help of Lodge residents who created some fine artwork—decorated a small room at the Community Center in the likeness of a Sukkah booth.
Eighty-three backpacks, filled with school supplies, were presented to all the children of Maranatha Village, Springfield, Missouri. This benefit was an expression of the administration’s concern for the well-being of employee families. The gifts were a big blessing, lifting expectations for a wonderful school year!
The General Council of the Assemblies of God is convening in Columbus, Ohio. CEO Brian Miller, and his wife Beth, are at the Maranatha Village booth representing the ministry. Brian says, “General Council is going great! Lots of contacts and new leads. Having a good time meeting new people and networking.”
Maranatha Village, Springfield, Missouri, celebrated 50 years of caring ministry to seniors throughout the weekend of July 8-9, 2023. A large tent, inflatables, food, and music launched the event. Sunday AM and PM services highlighted the growth and development of the past, and cast a vision for the future. A good laugh lifts one’s spirit! Juanita Kern, long-term Village resident, prepares an interesting bulletin board once a month, placed in the Maranatha Village Community Center. Viewing the bulletin board is a regular habit of residents attending various functions at the Community Center. Juanita’s humor is so refreshing!
Maranatha Village retirement community, Springfield, Missouri, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. A major update is taking place across the campus. The Village has a new look! One fresh touch is the clearing of a large area near the village lake. The enhanced 100-acre campus is beautiful!
